I would actually be delighted to watch my guy "scratch away" at the coin stuck to the floor.

On What's Your Damage? And Other Greetings

Love this. I often ask people "what's your story?" but it's not always perceived as a nice thing to ask-- I usually ask it after mentally stumbling around trying to decide what is the least socio-economically-focused small talk question, determining there is not a good question that doesn't have an angle (What do you do? assumes they work, and puts a premium on what they do as their identity, Where do you live? sometimes can make people feel shy or ashamed if they don't like where they are physically living, etc), and then ending up with "what's your story?"-- but people tend to respond either, happily, or nervously (the open-endedness, or perhaps the way it seems like it might be the beginning of a police questioning, unsettles some). I think I probably overthink these questions! But I also don't want anyone to feel bad when I've just met them. I like 'what's your story' the best of all of them. I also like 'how's your mama' but that might be bad if someone has major issues w/ their mother...

On Reasons Why Everyone is Engaged But Me: A Sampling

I know this is a joke list, and I totally get it and I don't want to be a lame-o for saying this, but I still feel the need to note that not being married is not a thing there are reasons for, other than the obvious one: not wanting to be married and/or not meeting a person worth marrying. That is all.

On Interview with a Woman Who Had Two Kids by Anonymous Sperm Donor

People are always asking us how our toddler son got his amazing red hair. We don't know, he just came out that way. Just found that anecdote particularly funny, since we have to answer that question daily. :)

On Drama-Minimization and Bathroom Riddles

Is this Lady possibly Emily Gould? I don't know why I am asking this, except something set off in my head that it is her and the rest of the time I am reading this using her voice.

On Jennifer Lopez's "Papi" Video

@Andrew Spena@facebook: I want to watch this several more times and figure out all the product placement. On mute. Much more interesting than the actual video.
