@TheBelleWitch For me, having my legal and financial identity defined by marriage makes me really uncomfortable. I'm not sure if I can really explain why. If I wanted to have kids, I might feel like the benefits outweigh that discomfort, but that isn't an issue so far.
@Blackwatch Plaid Makes me think of Gwendoline Christie (Brienne in Game of Thrones).
@TheclaAndTheSeals You may not even need to empty a diva cup in a public bathroom. They don't have to be changed as often as tampons, depending on your amount of blood, so you could just do it at home.
@EKPinc YES!! That's it! Thank you! At least I remembered the A initial in the name.
@EKPinc That sounds familiar. I think the main doll was made of rags. The characters were kind of mean to each other, or maybe they all hated one of the dolls.
These are pretty vague but I have to try because they've been making me crazy for so long.
1) The characters are all dolls or toys, but I don't think they were dolls who come to life when the humans are sleeping or anything like that. They live on a ship. There is one character who either wears skivvies or is named Skivvy. The cover was blue I think and it was a pretty thick book. There might have been a character called Alice or Allie.
2) I remember almost nothing about the story except that it was a chapter book about a girl as she grows up through all the stages of life. The part I remember was that every few pages there was an illustration of her at the next stage of life and her hair was amazing. I think the illustrations were pencil drawings. Her hair was long and red, maybe. She had thick braids and was wearing a long nightgown in one of the pictures.
I would unread Fade by Robert Cormier. I don't remember how old I was when I tried to read it but I was definitely too young.
I wish I could read Woman in the Dunes again for the first time.
Another brand of perfume to try is Maroma MEN. I use the Olibanum Citrus. It isn't expensive and lasts a long time on your skin. I think Maroma makes scents for women too, but I haven't smelled any of them.
@aphrabean we also have dog and human jars but for some reason my boyfriend doesn't understand why it would be gross to eat from the dog pb, which has had utensils double dipped in it after being inside a rarely washed kong.
@formergr I bet coconut milk would be good. But you'd probably need something more solid also for consistency.
