@nokittythisismypotpie re: the "random" assortment of friends, I have come up with like, a billion theories as to that, but nothing really compelling. What do you think? People who visited your profile? People who YOU stalk?

I used to get Rum Raisin ice cream in the hopes that it would maybe taste something like "Rum Punch."

@Decca There is a radio interview of Nancy available on youtube, you can hear her telling a funny story about her maid who used to get so excited whenever there was an air raid. One thing I've never been able to quite reconcile is how ALL the sisters, with the exception I suppose of Decca in Hons and Rebels, seem to say that though Diana's political affiliations are deplorable, she's so NICE and lovely and gentle and kind....a description that i've never been able to reconcile with her links to facism. But I haven't actually READ an autobiography of Diana yet, so maybe I'll get a better account when I do. It's so hard because the immediate family accounts and biographies are obviously the most fascinating and tantalizing, on the other hand probably considerably biased. I DO wonder what else will come out when Debo does die. She's definitely protecting some family secrets.

@Decca Yeah, I recently watched it! Mostly interesting to me because it's crazy to see old interviews of Diana Mosley. Which leads me to something completely unrelated, but: I think it's really crazy how all the Mitford girls, they have like, these low, deep, almost drawls, which Deborah Devonshire briefly describes in her book as "1920s speak." True, she may have been referring more to their vernacular than actual voices, but still, I'm obsessed with the few existing youtube videos of them, because it sort of IS like seeing a relic of a different time, and how people just talked differently. Also, DO you think that Unity had ANY sort of romantic relationship with Hitler, or was it strictly platonic? This comment is clearly over-zealous, I'm sorry. I'm so obsessed with The Mitfords, though!
