@spex This thread is closely related to the sentence in the article that made me the angriest:

"When I call butches on their misogyny, they say I am attacking their identity."

...your identity as an asshole? Being butch or acting "manly" doesn't have to mean acting like a caricature or a stereotype.

@iceberg To be fair, I go fucking NUTS if someone tells me to relax. I, personally, have a hard time separating it from the "women be hysterical" trope.

@spex That is way interesting! Wait wait, though... I feel like I fundamentally disagree with the assertion that anyone who used to be, or is currently, a woman "can't be a misogynist."

JAIME!

The day I found out he was Danish was the day I decided to scrap my plans to go to grad school and move back to Copenhagen.

Kidding. Mostly.

@The Lady of Shalott People are having too few children and ruining the economy! And they're having too many children and ruining the environment! They're also having them too early and too late.

@iceberg I mean, just about any legal document is "just a piece of paper" but I never hear people make that argument the other ones out there, like, say, mortgage agreements.

@iceberg That reminds me of a guy in a similar situation who wrote Prudie after six months of no sex to ask permission to hire prostitutes.
