So true. So true. <3 u, 2000 silver Forester.
@meatcute (Also, I love how concerned the dogs look.)
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! The way her head whips up at the beginning just kills me.
I love this so, so, so much.
This is my dream come true.
I love me some Smitten Kitchen. I used her "Project Wedding Cake" tutorials to make my own wedding cake, which is probably the most ambitious culinary undertaking I've ever attempted. And it was amazing. Even more amazing was the fact that, when I emailed Deb for the hell of it to thank her, show off a picture of the cake, and lavish praises upon the recipes I've been devouring for years, she emailed right back! She seems every bit as delightful as her blog would suggest. I'm anxiously awaiting my copy of the cookbook, which I preordered an embarrassingly long time ago on Amazon.
@etheline. That's what I keep telling myself, too. I'm five weeks pregnant — and it's a pregnancy I very much wanted and planned for — and these early weeks are so much scarier than I anticipated.
@I'm Right on Top of that, Rose YES. The sociopath stage. No one tells you about that when you get a puppy, but seriously, they're little monsters for a few weeks. Mine drove me to tears because she just would not stop nipping, and I thought I'd a horrible, horrible mistake.
It gets better. Mine is nine months old now and is still gets the crazy eyes ever now and then, but most of the time she's affectionate, eager to please, and generally aware of her place in the world and what is and is not appropriate. They do grow out of it, and I've found it so fascinating to watch as she gains a bit more self awareness and maturity before my very eyes sometimes. Hang in there!
I had to stop reading mid-sentence and come down here to shout: ESALEN. ESALEN!
Oh CHURCHILL. Who knew he as such a softie?
