Is there anyone here from EDMONTON, ALBERTA (or nearby) who'd be interested in a pin-up? Because I would be all over organizing that, y'all. I just remembered that I've been meaning to post this for weeks now!
@The Lady of Shalott Aww, cute! I'm happy for you guys! Sucks about the job interview, but there will be others. :)
Whoa! In before 1000 comments, for once. I am SO EXCITED to have my own computer and my own internet (and my own god-damn apartment, for that matter) finally, and it feels gooooood.
*eats nutella off a spoon*
@siniichulok AHHHH! I had the exact same encounter with my dad too! Luckily my dad is a pretty cool dude and got over his butthurt quickly, but it just demonstrated the concept so perfectly.
This is amaaaaaazing! I am such a big fan of oral hygiene, y'all have no idea. (Despite the giant hole in the side of one of my teeth that's been there for 3 years because I can't afford to fix it. Ahem.)
Anyway, I've been hoping for YEARS that I would be able to find a relevant place to share this song/video:
@TheUnchosenOne Yeah, that's why I'm not buying the sophisticated satire angle, personally. Knowing that Jon Stewart doesn't have the greatest track record on feminism, and knowing that his show is a favorite of many, many fauxgressives just doesn't give me confidence that that those kind of remarks were meant in a satirical way.
@TheUnchosenOne Yeah, I didn't see the nuance in it either. I forgive a lot of his bullshit because sometimes he's great. But that interview? Sexist bullshit through and through, no question about it. I didn't see anything tongue in cheek about it, and nowhere in the interview did he say he wasn't going to make rape jokes anymore, which a lot of people (not here, on the general internets) have been claiming he said.
@PistolPackinMama HEY are you also on Scary Mommy by any chance?
@blahstudent CaptainAwkward.com! You will love it, seriously.
@Cat named Virtute Your mom is majorly rad!
