On Let's Revisit All of Now That's What I Call Music! Vol. 1

@lora.bee THAT WAS THE FIRST SONG I WENT TO LISTEN TO TOO!! I remember hearing "what the hell am I doing drinking in L.A. at 26?" and thinking "OMG 26 so old!" and now I am 29 and currently having a crisis about it.

I love your Wide Mouth Mason memory! I remember seeing a mason jar and finally realizing where the name came from, it was like a revelation. I'm not going to admit how recently this was because it's embarrassing, ok?

This is amazing. I was 14 in 1998 so this speaks really really deeply to me.

CANADIANS ASSEMBLE and let's talk about Big Shiny Tunes! Big Shiny Tunes 1 and 2 were so important to me!!!

@figwiggin P.S. figwiggin, don't be ashamed about the money you inherited! I realized my followup post might have seemed bitter which I DID NOT AT ALL intend.

@figwiggin Since we're sharing, I'm 27, a PhD student, and have around $2000 saved, but I still have $18,000 in student loans from my undergrad to pay off. Sad/anxiousface.

@lalaland Yes, I think this would be a great discussion to have, maybe even in its own post? I know there's a Hairpin writer who dispenses financial advice, maybe she could give us a framework. A life raft. Something.

On Go!

@Bro-lo El Cunado Seriously. I am almost 28 and $34,000 in savings is almost inconceivable to me. This lady has clearly got her shit together in a serious way!
