On A Girl and a Good Wife

@Megasus @Lily Rowan it was way more believable when they were younger and going through the trauma of a very public political divorce/upheaval of their entire lives (albeit landing in a very cushy apartment with a very fancy mom falling back on a very fancy career). Now they're all being filmed at the pep rallies of other politicians, dating a string of EXTREMELY problematic people while remaining in the spotlight, getting involved in fringe religious movements and being both too oversharey and yet never communicating important information to their (very powerful and capable) parents.

I've never seen Girls because the whole concept bores me to frustrated tears. The Good Wife though, ugh I love it. I actually call the whole show The Head Bitch In Charge, 'cause everywhere you look, there's a HBIC.

On A Girl and a Good Wife

I ADORE The Good Wife unabashedly, but can we agree that it is home to The Stupidest Children On Television? I would be totally cool with Grace & Zach headin' off to college/prep school in Switzerland and replacing ALL their screen time with more Kalinda and more Diane.

On Before Too Long, Everyone You Know Will Be Named Emma

@Hellcat I know this! "Queer as folk" comes from a Welsh phrase (I think Welsh? Somewhere around there), "there's nowt so queer as folk," meaning "there's nothing stranger than people," or basically that people will always surprise you with their behaviour. This is parodied in the gay soap opera that Emmett gets hooked on later in the series, "Gay as Blazes."

(I'm still in love with Brian Kinney.)
