I tweet (@tinydancer06), do CrossFit, blog, and surf the internet aimlessly.
@I AM DIAPHENA I used to live right by that one! (Broadway & Roscoe)
On Rainy Day
Chicago. Thunderstorm. Working at home today, so enjoyable.
@heliumhead @wee_ramekin Thanks for the notes/thoughts! I've been on the AVEN forums and just reading/mulling over where on the spectrum I might fall. I'm also Christian, which throws me for a loop because I think that I might be able to have a great connection/relationship with a woman and not sure how that coincides with my spirituality if there's no sex involved? I'm not at the point where I want to really discuss this with friends/family/etc yet, so that will have to be an unanswered question for now.
I'm just going to leave this here: after a lot of soul-searching and internet-reading and just spending time alone, I realized that I'm asexual, and IT'S SUCH A RELIEF. Now I know why dating has been so freaking hard for the past couple years. I am worried I might be alone forever now, but yeah, at least I know.
@iceberg I married my college sweetheart (engaged at 21, married at 22) and by 25 we were divorced. He slept with my co-worker (who I thought was one of my closest friends), but it wasn't great before I found that out either, it was just the last straw.
He was the big man on campus, super popular, always the center of attention, etc. He's still trying to be that person but he's in his early 30s and all his friends are married with kids and it's kind of sad.
Also, the woman he cheated on me with stole his dog. I feel bad for the dog, but karma.
@OhMarie I have a mother that is severely bipolar with maybe a touch of borderline personality disorder (docs disagree on diagnoses), and the first thing I wouldn't do is let her live with me, ever. She can screw up her own life but I won't let her screw up mine (again).
LW1, I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Your husband is acting terribly to you and that is not ok. I agree with A Dude's advice. Hugs.
I have a pixie cut (new as of about a month ago) and I love it! Never going back...
@Tropical Iceland I was also diagnosed hypoglycemic in junior high and I do the same as @crango - eat every couple hours. I found reducing the amount of sugar I ate as a whole was really helpful, so I try to make my snacks high in protein or vegetable-based. I limit fruit/sweet treats as a whole.
@mayonegg I'd show up from Lakeview.
