On "A government which uses force to maintain its rule teaches the oppressed to use force to oppose it"
@hallelujah my feelings exactly.
That and, my students were all born after he had been released from prison, and to them this is history. Which is... it is but it's not, you know?
I dunno. Something something time and social change something.
*wrinkles up* *turns to dust* *blows away*
@The Lady of Shalott word to all of this, LOS, including the from the Old Days part through to the body non-snark.
@lovingskyfairy... ... ... ... that was so mean, I caught my breath a little. And being mean the internet is not, actually, how you win. Whatever it is you win on the internet.
And *even if SEW* is being cruel, which I don't actually think she is, return meanness is not actually a winning strategy at being a human person in any arena.
But I guess it's good to know you have the skills? Or something.
@Party Falcon hi party falcon, hi hi hi!!
@Party Falcon PARTY FALCON! PARTY FALCON!!!
All the mail pinned to your fridge said was "I hope you are doing well, lots of good wishes XOXO Me." I hope you could feel the love through the unopened envelope.
@BeesKnees I am sorry. That is a whole lot of standard units of suck.
@stuffisthings Well, except for the fact that some things don't become edible or easily digestible until they are processed. Blah blah grains something something invention of fire and cooking.
@Hot Doom yes, yes, I believe it is.
@lemonadefish Yeah, the "adding insulin manually to this mix" part of diabetes and drinking complicates things.
Pie + booze= always a good idea.
@Urwelt, but most people will also understand "highly processed food with a lot of additives and saturated fats" or whatever.
Mostly, I think "you know, chemicals!" is like saying "something something patriarchy" or "because feminism" around here. "Fill in the standard discussion of junk food and its problems here." Which may or may not be appropriate for this sort of column.
@stuffisthings *snort* Personally, I like to make my own protons at home. I find when I split the atoms myself, I have so much energy afterwards. It lasts for ages! Also I really love mushrooms.
