@Rookie (not the magazine) (not that there's anything wrong with that) @JanieS
Thanks...yah, boo to changing seasons. I'm actually doing ok with the exercise - it has been supremely nice here in the Midwest and I'm not complaining about the weather AT ALL. I'm getting outside and doing the running/biking/dog walking thing, but sometimes I feel like I'm just going through the motions and not really enjoying the moment. DOES THAT SOUND DUMB? ;)
@lobsterhug Keep on keepin' on mah friend!
@frigwiggin I don't know what my deal is. I just feel crushed under a crushing weight of LIFE. Nothing is particularly bad! Just kind of blah! Am also having some serious wanderlust and/or angst towards people who take too much vaca. Also my jaw hurts but I'm going to the dentist on Monday...I say this because I think the jaw pain is messing with my sleep which is not helping the situation.
@lobsterhug Which would you wear more often/how far along are you on the legwarmers?
Just SUPER dragging this week. I don't know if it's the rapidly diminishing daylight, stuff being broken at work, not having had a vaca day in a while or WHAT. #whine

@Gilgongo I am so sorry for your loss, but I am thankful that you had compassionate caregivers, and you were able to take the time to grieve for your baby.
@Hot Doom Guac is happening already! @Briony Fields Oooh...had not thought of a non-mayo potato salad. I know a good roasted one. @bevrockin Had to google those for a pic because I couldn't envision the finished product. Sounds kind of awesome! @paper bag princess YUM love sangria. @adorable-eggplant There will be many chips'n'dips at this particular party, but that is ALWAYS a hit!
Your best tailgating/party/outdoor picnic recipes...GO!
Hell, I was a chem major in the early 2000's, and there were usually only a handful of women in my upper level classes. (I remember taking an upper level Spanish class my senior year, and being shocked, SHOCKED that it was mostly women. And not just women, women who DID THEIR HAIR AND MAKEUP) The huge, huge difference in my trajectory was that I did have many professors that encouraged me to pursue a graduate degree. (For better or worse...but mostly for the better, I think)
Kudos to you for contributing to science in a perhaps unconventional manner - education/curriculum is hugely important, and women like you paved the way for my generation of lady scientists.
@MrsTeacherFace My friends have kids who were born post-9/11, and they recently discussed it in their social studies class...and yeah....thinking about learning 9/11 history in school is pretty weird.
