@greyeminence Saaaaame! Plus Ford is just so the opposite of what people think about when they think about Canada, which I love. He's so crass. And impolite. And terrible.
This is maybe a weird thing to think, but my honest first thought after learning about this was that, to me, the most terrifying part of rape isn't necessarily the penetration. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like some of the trauma comes from the other parts of the act: the violence and the feeling of helplessness. To me, these wouldn't make me feel safer for that reason.
@cyanjellyfish I have never heard of that, but googling about digestibility lead me to this: http://michaelbluejay.com/veg/protein.html And since he uses a lot of the sources that I've read and used (Diet for a new America, etc, I'm inclined to believe it.
@apples and oranges Yep, total myth! I've been veg my whole life, but when I was about 14 my dad made me read a TON on nutrition so I could be prepared against the constant "but how do you get your protein?" questions. Glad the myth helped you discover something delicious!
I'm fairly certain that the whole protein combining thing is a myth: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protein_combining
Unless you are talking about it in a different way? Like, protein powder in smoothies is different?
@Nicole @twitter Also I am probably only paranoid right now because it's my first month trusting Lady Comp as my birth control and it's a little nerve-racking!
I probably only got my period last week after days of waiting because I was wearing my most expensive, most lacey underwear (which was probably only $5, but still! More than my usual $3 ones!).
When I went to a Canadian high school in the early 2000s, I always called the popular people "fake people", but I don't know where that came from.
My group was nameless. I was just kind of a nerd who was known only for my crush on a popular boy (a boy I started dating almost 10 years later! I totally win).
@coconuts Oh young Jack Layton, never not hot.
Ummm, can I come even if I never comment? I feel like I'm not a proper part of the community but I do read every single post here, if that counts. Oh, and I once went to a tumblr meet up, so I like meeting people from the internet!
