But oh my goodness. I feel better knowing that he was a stage actor first. I hope that early on people were like "DAVID IMAGINE THE FOLKS WAY IN THE BACK, CAN YOU MAKE YOUR FACE MORE DRAMATIC FOR THEM" and he's just like "Oh boy can I ever."

Admittedly I have gone through phases of Doherty fascination, but am now at the point where I have both accepted the fact that he is a vile, shady human, and am constantly surprised when I see his name not followed by the words "was found dead today" or "is back in gaol."
