@I'm Right on Top of that, Rose Hmm, good question. I've only ever heard it used in a lighthearted context, not like when the guy is serious bad news - a keyword meaning hypnotized by great sex, without any implication of brainwashing or other creepy controlling things going on. But I'll let you know next time I need to use it. Will 6-8 weeks in advance be enough time to secure permission?
@I'm Right on Top of that, Rose I always took that phrase to mean that you were sticking with a guy strictly because of the D, in spite of other things they may have working against them, e.g. "Tim thinks Seth MacFarlane is a genius, but I'm dickmatized!"
Oh I love Barbara Stanwyck so much! She was perfect in Double Indemnity, just perfect.
Once, on a long flight, I had the pleasure of sitting next to a very interesting older woman and we chatted the whole time. She had been Stanwyck's nurse at the end of her life. Said Stanwyck was a lovely woman and was wowed by her presence.
@Poubelle Some things you mention in your comment lead me to believe you might have grown up in West Rogers Park... ? (Or West Ridge as the no-fun types call it)
@Manchester Tart Ha! I always think of him as Liam too. His black Irish fine-ness has not been replaced on Corrie since.
@Nicole Cliffe What's that I smell? Less-laborious Company Eggs!
What about a food processor for grating dat Gruyere? Less manual grating/grunting.
Admittedly I have gone through phases of Doherty fascination, but am now at the point where I have both accepted the fact that he is a vile, shady human, and am constantly surprised when I see his name not followed by the words "was found dead today" or "is back in gaol."
@Inkling I don't really understand what that means but I lol'd anyway!
"Tali Lennox" would have been a good, but too obvious addition to the list! Good God!
