On Some Options for Officiating a Wedding

I officiated a brunch wedding last month. It was wonderfully low-key and fun.
The bride, the groom, two witnesses and I literally just met up for brunch. The ceremony was performed after we placed our orders and they were married by the time our food arrived.
Best part was that the server comped the happy couple's meal.

On Kale's Comeuppance

I love kale for it's ability to make me still feel healthy if I eat it alongside a huge pile of tater tots.

On Nothing Tastes as Good as Not Being Cut Open Feels

@katerrific I'm surprised there aren't more mandoline horror stories here. Those things terrify me.

On Nothing Tastes as Good as Not Being Cut Open Feels

@akapocalypse Not to mention that my bf cut his hand installing a lawnmower blade sharpened at the same shop a few years later. Those guys are good!
Or (more likely) we are not to be trusted with sharp things.

Kitchen-related:
I brought my kitchen knives into a knife sharpening shop. The gal made sure to warn me several times about how sharp they were. Yeah yeah. I wrapped them up in a towel and put them in a grocery bag. While unloading my groceries and the bag with my knives in it, I somehow managed to impale the back of my hand on a knife tip that had poked through the bag. No stitches, but lots of blood and a nice scar.

On Becoming a Better Lazy Vegetarian

@Emmanuelle Cunt Press the tofu, marinate it, and then grill it on a George Foreman. This method changed my life. Also using the high-protein firm tofu from Trader Joe's. If they ever stop carrying that stuff I might cry.
