On Three Deviled Eggs

@suiterkin Yes, thank you! I've only been the once and I'm definitely not vegetarian so I was not paying attention to the veg options. But I'm glad to know they're there.

On Three Deviled Eggs

So I know what I'm making this weekend. With Old Bay, all of the Old Bay.
Addendum: There is a great restaurant in Baltimore called Woodberry Kitchen- very locavore-y (is that a word, that's totally a word) and one of their regular sides is deviled eggs with ham. Oh my god, NOM.

On Elderly Dogs and Babies: A Primer

ALL OF THE DOGS AND BABIES. ::huge hugs::
I have two stories; the first is about my poor dog-loving boss who saw her little Yorkie get hit by a car last week. The dog didn't make it and she's just been devastated. If you would, just keep her in your thoughts? And give your animals an extra hug from me.
The second story is much nicer! My brother and his wife adopted a Chow mix who was aggressive and touchy and just generally kind of scary to be around, and when they found out they were going to have a baby, we were all concerned. (I quietly checked out my apartment complex's pet policy, just in case something happened and the dog needed a new home, you know.) Then they moved back to the east coast, and somehow Harry the dog absolutely chilled out- became much less jumpy and possessive, and more affectionate and friendly with strangers. I feel comfortable sitting on the floor with all sixty-odd pounds of him in my lap and giving him a good scratch, which would never have happened a few years ago. Now my nephew toddles around the yard holding his leash. Good dog, Harry.

On Who Wouldn't Want to Touch Her Feet?

I would be a supporter of giving that customer a pedicure With Fire (tm).

On Candyman, Candyman, Candyman, Candyman, Candyman

My secret anti-nausea therapy, acquired from a kindly nurse during an unpleasant hospital stay, is a cool compress across the throat. I don't know why it works, but it does. (Of course, sometimes you just gotta hurl and then you'll feel better- hi migraines!)

On Coworking From Afar

@noodlestein I'm not an expert, but turn-based stuff might alleviate some of the connection issues? We've been playing Civilization 5 in co-op for months now. (Delicious Civ.) Also, highly, highly recommend Steam for group gaming, makes everything involved a whole lot easier.

On Coworking From Afar

I do regular Skype calls (once or twice a week) with some friends from college- we get online together and play a multiplayer game of some sort while we're chatting. It's a lot of fun and keeps us all in touch- not quite like sitting at the same table in the college cafeteria, but close. And going on FaceTime to chat with faraway family and grandkids has become a ritual during holidays at my folks' house. ADORABLE.

On America's "Best" Islands

I love Mount Desert and its crazy lobster-flavored ice cream store. And the carriage roads! And the stunning scenery. Kiawah Island can suck it.
And where's Fire Island? And Monhegan in all its grumpy glory?
