On Who's the Squarest-Jawed of Them All?

@anachronistique Seriously! I knew it was a long shot, but it could have been so great.

On Who's the Squarest-Jawed of Them All?

@Statham Agreed, you don't want to dilute the brand by casting them in multiple franchises. Hamm, JGL or Elba would probably be my top choices anyway. Love your username, BTW.

On Who's the Squarest-Jawed of Them All?

@RubeksCube Karl Urban would be great.

On Who's the Squarest-Jawed of Them All?

Affleck is just wrong. Jeremy Renner would be great. So would Jon Hamm, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba and Dominic Cooper. I think he is physically wrong for the part, but I would have been excited to see how Joseph Gordon Levitt would do as Batman.

On Skinny-Dipping, S.O. Weight Gain, and Walk[ing] Away [From] Renee

@Dragon I would guess that your family wasn't trying to force food on you that would make you violently ill, hence the difference in attitudes. The issue is less that family is such a burden and more that her MIL refuses to acknowledge or avoid triggering a serious (and completely avoidable) health issue. That is abusive behavior, and less visits are a completely reasonable consequence for that.

On [Maybe] Good Books That Defined You

@Sailor Jupiter Handmaid's Tale was horrifying and resonant for me. It was so good for me to read it when I did. It is one of the only books I found relevant or interesting during high school English.

On Vignettes From a Hospital Overnight

Surgery is so scary. I'm glad you have a good doctor. The nurses and PAs can be so mechanical and just run through the motions without talking to you about any of it. It is such a relief when you have an advocate that can translate for you and pull rank when it's necessary to get what you need. Best wishes for your recovery.
