@par_parenthese Ah, thank you! Good vibes are helpful.
@kate.m Also, if this is too much, I'd be happy to talk about puppies and kittens for now and revisit this topic on another day when there's not so much terrible stuff happening.
Hi - I don't comment much... but I just started a group therapy thing based on intuitive eating, and I was wondering if any of you have had experience with that approach. The therapists seem awesome, and intuitive eating and health at every size seem really correct and good... but of course I'm still struggling with rejecting my old ways of thinking about food and bodies. Anybody have words of wisdom for me?
@Heat Signature Wait, can someone explain this to me or point me to a good unbiased resource that is not super technical? I know there is a vigorous debate over whether to fluoridate municipal water supply, but I don't know enough about it to know what opinion I want to have! What are the risks? All the anti-fluoride stuff I'm hearing around Portland right now has the message, "chemicals are too risky" which is an absurdly stupid thing to say.
Has anybody else read the Guantanamo article? Do you have any advice on coping with this information in a productive way? I'm struggling.
Everybody knows this, but... I bought the Soapwalla Deodorant Cream, and it really is the best. No stink, no cancer, no Alzheimer's. It's gonna be a good weekend.
@packedsuitcase Darn! But thanks. And I'll keep investigating since usually a sample size of one is not adequate.
@packedsuitcase Can I be nosy and ask if you're on Mirena or Paragard? (Because I have a Mirena now, it's about to expire, and I'm considering switching to Paragard, mainly because of the possibility of more excellent sex.)
I have these sandals and they're the best! I know they're Tevas and they have velcro, but nobody knows unless I tell them. Which I do, because it's funny.
@Emmanuelle Cunt YES.
