@Lily Rowan I do. I've only missed two out of the 10 years I've had the debt... but one was last month so I guess that's why it's on my mind. (I paid double when I realized I forgot to pay)

So uh, I've been offered a new job (YAY) but I have to have a background check. I have no criminal history, but it's also checking my credit history. I haven't filed for bankruptcy, but I have a lot of credit card debt and have missed a total of 2 payments in my lifetime.
Is this normal? WILL THIS HURT ME?! I'm scared.

On Friday Open Thread
@meetapossum I completely feel you. I've been at my current job for over five years. We've been lucky not to have any layoffs, but there aren't any positions being created. Therefore, no chance for me to move out of this crappy position.
And then last week, out of the blue, a company I had interviewed with in February called and offered me a job. Making $6,000 more than I make now with the possibiliy to be promoted within a year. !!!!! I flipped. I couldn't (and still can't) believe it's happened. Next week is my last week at this job.
My point is: MIRACLES CAN HAPPEN! Keep looking, keep interviewing. And it's ok to feel bad/lose motivation every once in a while (God knows I had several weeks of that back in March), but keep your eye on the goal: GETTING OUT OF YOUR JOB.
