On Spend Three Days Living Like a Seattle Homeless Person for the Low, Low Price of $2000

@vine fruit Yeah. Do you really have to experience homelessness firsthand to empathize with homeless people?

No. No, you don't.

On Susan Miller's Guide to October: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

@shart_attack I an unemployed as well, and I was planning on staying that way until January (when the ACA kicks in and I can afford to get treatment for my depression). Now I have another reason.

On The Best Time My Girlfriend’s Baby Tooth Fell Out

@lucy snowe I think my last boyfriend's dad still has all his baby teeth. They're so tiny! Big gums are also a thing in that family so his mouth looks totally weird.

@hopelessshade I would feel that way if only my teeth didn't go a the way back yo how they started. Something in between would have been nice. Also, I hate that I went through all that torture for nothing !

On The Best Time My Girlfriend’s Baby Tooth Fell Out

@Beaker Me too! 3 wisdom teeth. I haven't had any of them removed, and I'm 39! Probably because I have a too-small mouth.

On The Best Time My Girlfriend’s Baby Tooth Fell Out

@Beaker I was 13 when I got braces, and I still had five baby teeth. They pulled all five if them out, and did "exposures" on the canines. This involved scraping the gum away and attaching brackets with extra wires to pull them down. It looked really gross and I was afraid to smile. Also, I got to spit out dead bits of gum for a few days.

On You've Been Tying Your Shoes All Wrong: An Interview With "Professor Shoelace"

This is wonderful. I worked at a full-service shoe store for several years, and people's crooked bows always drove me crazy! And then they would marvel at how straight and balanced they were when I tied them.

I'm curious about this Ian knot...
