@Rookie (not the magazine) (not that there's anything wrong with that) There was Jacob (?) who had the prettiest curly hair and I was in love but then all of a sudden he had dreads and my crush ended instantly.
I found our NYC apartment on Craigslist. The current tenant wouldn't let us see it unless we agreed to buy her stackable washer/dryer from her if we ended up wanting to rent the apartment. We agreed and we ended up renting the place and overpaid for the appliances.
We sold the washer and dryer on Craigslist a year later.
On Going Blonde
@sbizzle This is me too! My hair gets so light in the summer!
On Going Blonde
I was blonde as a kid but then when I hit puberty my hair went to that weird not blonde, not brown color. I started highlighting my hair when I was 13. I've played a lot with color but always end up going back to the highlights. In fact, I just went back to highlights last night.
It's weird but having curly hair, I find that the perception of my hair is better when it's lighter.
Katy, why do you chose the wrong men?
I have rolling veins and deceiving veins that look like they might be there but really, I just think that part of my arm is blue? Drawing blood is always painful and terrible and everyone who says to me that they're great with challenging veins always leaves me in pain. Last time, the nurse blew a vein and I was left with a very bruised and sure arm for a good week and a half.
I have the stomach flu and I laughed so hard at this video, I threw up a little.
@hallelujah No one catches my reference when I say , "And I'm the lobster!" and it makes me so sad.
@newyorkette I've been obsessing over "Blurred Lines" for like 2 months now which is a bit much. It's also my ringtone. I've stopped answering my phone because I'm too busy having a dance party.
I never had my own copy of the book. However my library had the 1964 and 1985 versions. I thought they were different books for a long time.
Also, after sharing "Harriet the Spy" with my favorite kid in the world she started calling herself L___ J. Spy. Would sign her homework papers like that and everything. Even now, as a soon to be high school freshman, she uses it. Love.
