@Emby I love this, but Michael Jackson and Diana Ross did this in The Wiz. Ease on down, ease on down the rooaad...
@jamielee If you want to go the Natural History Museum, combine that with a visit to the Shake Shack on Columbus Ave, one block away. There are several other locations in Manhattan, one in Brooklyn, so no need to stand in line for food (see cronuts).
@frigwiggin How much water do you use to simmer the ginger in?
@PistolPackinMama Me too. I want a "Spell Checker" t-shirt NOW.
@everyone Even though the last time I watched Doctor Who he was played by Tom Baker, I knew there were some die hard Who fans here!! I saved this up just for you guys:)
@polka dots vs stripes It was such a good show that flew under the radar. I LOVED Michael Cudlitz as John Cooper, but alas, I didn't get to see him, only C. Thomas Howell, Ben McKenzie, and Regina King. Still exciting!
@flimflannery I did!
@iceberg I KNOW. I love him. He said he was so excited to get this award in the company of people like Leonard Lopate, of NYC public radio WNYC, who he listens to everyday, and then when Leonard got up there, he told Louie that this year's pledge drive was on him. So adorable.
Oh good, I've been waiting all week to tell y'all that I saw a Doctor Who dude, Matt Smith, at the Peabody Awards lunch in NYC on Monday. The show got a Peabody and he was part of the group that went onstage to accept. I'm not even a Doctor fan, but lot's of Pinners are, right? How does he rate in the Who universe?
Also saw Louie C.K., cast members of Southland (one of my favs), Ira Glass, Michael Apted, Jud Apatow, Lorne Michaels, Marina Abramovic, and tons of people who made great documentaries, reported news stories, produced radio shows, etc. I got to go through my work and didn't even realize who was getting awards. It was such a unexpected fun event to see.
@meetapossum I like L'Oreal's Voluminous Million Lashes. I love most of L'Oreal's mascaras and have used them for years, but I'm on this one currently. Goes on very defined and doesn't clump and not too 'wet.'
