@678033@twitter Yes! I trained at both SC and iO and am now with Infinite Sundaes (a music improv house ensemble at SC) and got picked up by iO to join a house ensemble there but haven't been placed yet. I also play around town with some independent groups and do dance improvisation and performance art - especially working with food in the Food and Performance series' at Defibrillator Gallery. The underground spaces are still vibrant and wonderful (Upstairs Gallery, Studio BE, MINt Music Improv, Chemically Imbalanced Comedy, The Public House, on and on and on - so much fun). It's probably not a destination-show, but if you were already in town doing a big paid show, I'd kill to see you play at Wes Perry's show (Making Out with Wes Perry and Friends) - I wrote a little bit about it here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/liz-joynt-sandberg/making-out-with-wes-perry_b_2623285.html. Something about your work and relationship with your audience makes me think it would be a wonderful fit.
@678033@twitter Chicago! I'm an improviser. I'm so glad to have come across this interview, and an introduction (for me) to your work! The way you describe being with and creating something with an audience was so encouraging. Setting up audience members for punchlines?! You're a genius. Checking in? YES! WHY AREN'T THEY CHECKING IN?! So excited to see your work the next time you're here/I'm there.
What a wonderful and exciting conversation. Thanks so much!
