How are these always SO GOOD? Is she actually a witch?
I only started liking poetry when I started reading it out of interest and not because it was assigned to me in school. I am on a Louis Jenkins kick right now. I still dislike about 80% of the poems that I read, but those 20% that gut you at the end of the poem -- they stay with you.
I think the same thing happens with music. Male singer-songwriter will have mass appeal, but a female singer-songwriter, many men will simply never listen to.
Is this the place where I can get off my chest that I HATE HATE HATE SEETHING FLAMES ON THE SIDE OF MY FACE when I am drudging through my morning commute and then my eyes land on that Lulelemon bag pictured in the image above? I'm f'ing trying to go about my day and then I have to be LECTURED AT by a BAG? NO.
On Ask Baba Yaga: There's Got to Be a Way to Exist Without Constantly Inflating and Deflating My Ego
I really needed this today.
I liked this piece. I am not sure where all the negativity seems to be coming from these days in the comments on articles. I find the content to be as thought-provoking and well-written as it always has. It's so disheartening to see the comments treating Jia and Emily like they're the evil stepmother or something. The old Hairpin crew is gone; why don't we give the new team a chance instead of being hostile?
@Caity Oh, so nice!
Great article. I have had this on a few occasions. It is always a threatening man; I know he is going to hurt me but then nothing happens and eventually I wake up. Luckily it's only happened three times.
This was great.
I was laughing the whole time.
