@Megasus I agree-her DUI and the one time she took those two people on a highspeed chase in her car against their will? I would say categorically worse than the list this author has.
@avocadosandwich I had never heard of Peep Show outside of the striptease show Holly Madison did in Vegas...I was confused why so many Pinners were a fan and had to look up to figure out it's a tv show.
@maybe partying will help Weird Al has permanently changed the lyrics to Gangsta's Paradise to Amish Paradise.
"Think you're really righteous? Think you're pure in heart? Well I know I'm a million times as humble as thou art."
@KatieBarTheDoor the mom was such a pill! Possibly because she had numerous children to take care of and Rev. Camden was always out preachin'.
@JessicaLovejoy track 11 is completely unheard of to me! How did it sneak its way on?
Going to an all girls high school made the popularity game a bit different...but my favorite group that I don't see mentioned here is the Lord of the Rings Superfans (they spoke Elvish to each other and had posters of Orlando Bloom as Legolas).
Other groups: girls who were super angsty about George Bush being president (but could not yet vote), girls who liked George Bush because they thought he was cute, and girls who were Republican because that's what their parents were, Straight Edge Kids (no drinking, no smoking), the "preppy girls" who dressed like Stepford wives and wore only Lily Pulitzer, and of course the rest of the usual cast of characters.
But the LOTR girls speaking elvish will always be my fav.
@Kaitlin.mlk oh the Internet has you covered for that (see #1)
I know we say it on every article, but I just love the alt text.
My high school religion teacher was never married, never had plans to be married, and often talked about how she didn't want to become a nun because she would be the only young one who would have to bear the burden of taking care of all the old ones. So I think people who might have otherwise joined are obviously not cool with the shoddy treatment.
@RNL I have no real advice, as I have no baby, but I know that a lot of people act veeeery odd the first couple months (not to be offensive to people who have babies who act the same! I've just had that experience), Theres a lot of emotions running wild so I would try hard not to take it personally.
Has her husband had an overnight call yet? Why did you get in trouble for posting a pic with the baby-had they not posted any yet? Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I understand that anxious feeling when you think your friend is upset with you so I know that sucks and wanted to send some reassurance.
@Passion Fruit and if they don't want to do "Ask As.." I'm really down with there being a forum for us to hate on Dear Prudence's advice. I need someone to discuss the crazy with!
