AHEM, the full name of the station is actually Dunn Loring/Merrifield, which really makes it sound more like a Robin Hood character and is therefore TERRIFIC.
Pro Tip: If you spend your single twenty years just asking your mom (who forever regrets that you never took Home Ec and worries that you'll never properly know your way around a kitchen the way she did) for 2-3 fancy kitchen items every year for Christmas/birthdays, you get the slow burn version of a registry. No marital bliss necessary!
I'm in the middle of VI right now, THANKS FOR THE SPOILERS.
@LacunaKale I frequently sit with my feet on the chair, legs against my chest. This is mostly bad because I have to work very hard to break this habit on days I wear skirts.
@Megasus Yes except it's more blind with RAGE THAT THEY ARE STILL DRAGGING THIS THING OUT.
@thatgirl I'd prefer my desk give me bruises instead of snagging all my woven dress pants. At least bruises heal, pants are expensive.
@sophia_h I don't think I ever put much thought into the paper-thin roles to play because a) things were supposed to suck for women back then and b) the male characters don't seem to me to be that much more well developed.
@Valley Girl Yes I don't object to Mrs. Crawley, she's pretty blah, but the only other character who seems 2-D is Edith. Everyone else has some depth, in my opinion.
Also, do NOT get me started on how Mary is the bitch - all she really ever does is make mean, meddlesome comments to Edith, but Edith goes out of her way to ruin Mary's life, and Mary is the bitch? Please.
@Homestar Runner He makes great points but in general doesn't sound like he likes anyone but Thomas. He also spends a whole paragraph basically ripping all the female characters. They're all bitches, fools, or nannies? None are likeable? What?
The guy sounds like a complete jerk, but that is not surprising since he wrote a thesis sympathizing with Thomas.
