@mathnet ohgod, i love this show despite it's hilarious awfulness.
@mathnet I should have scrolled down before commenting! Love this nonsense...the Evil Queen/Maleficent conversation was worth the whole show.
@mathnet OH, THANK YOU! I was waiting for someone else to admit to it first. I can't tell yet if I'm only watching because of Big Love separation anxiety and want to just see Margene's pretty, confused face. Either way, I feel better now that it's out there, anonymously on the internet - I watch Once Upon a Time!
@mathnet I've only seen the pilot so far and despite my irrational hatred of Ginnifer Goodwin, I liked it! I would/will watch more!

I love these images. Nursing makes a person feel like something out of Dr. Seuss. You end up doing it everywhere under all kinds of circumstances. I love the Cassat painting. It's so accurate.
Thank you thank you thank you so much for posting this. Signed, a nursing mother who loves breastfeeding and the Hairpin and feels really happy seeing them in the same place this morning. xo
I love the Cassat painting! It seems to tender and intimate...so /normal/. Also, the wet-nurse in the first painting (I'm assuming that's her role?) seems gleeful about something, like, HAHA this baby's REAL father is the stableboy! or something. I totally thought the Isis picture was an old icon or something too...just shows you how derivative religions are, I guess!
@Ophelia You don't rear 500 million babies without making a few enemies.
I love these! I had such a hard time nursing my first baby that it was a huge goal of mine to nurse the second one...I became minorly obsessed with nursing babies in art.
