@lasso tabasco My online dating pet peeve is when a guy messages me, but doesn't ask me any questions (so hard to respond to those!), so I always ask a question or two. Tinder' shard bc you generally have zero background info. "How's your weekend going?" or whatever is kind of boring, but does the trick.

On A Migraine *Just For You*

@jooya Thanks! Imitrex works pretty well for me (ibuprofen does nothing). I might try the heating pad bit. Thanks again!

On A Migraine *Just For You*

@jooya Interesting. That's what my (diagnosed as) migraines are like. Did the Imitrex help you (mine works pretty well, but I'd love to try anything that makes them go away forever!)?

On What's the Worst Song to Have Sex To?

@Emby Also not a song, but Naked Lunch is a pretty weird thing to have sex to as well.

On Are You Part of the 16% of People Who Can't Look at This Without Screaming?

@Lizzy@twitter Can you make it through the WTF Evolution Suriname Toad video linked above? I feel like that's the true test.

On Are You Part of the 16% of People Who Can't Look at This Without Screaming?

@SarahDances NOTHING in Jia's post was even the slightest bit upsetting to me, but I didn't even make it two seconds into that Suriname toad video. WTF. Basically toads coming out of skin pores?!?!?!?!?!?!?! The stuff of nightmares. <>

@4and20blkbirds I would for sure keep going to your western doctors and everything, but I'm in school for acupuncture/Chinese Medicine right now and I've heard that people tend to have more success with that than with Western medicine (in fact, one of my teachers for my Western classes, who is an MD and doesn't know a lot about Chinese Medicine, said yesterday that Chinese Medicine is better for autoimmune diseases than Western). There is a woman affiliated with my school that has been able to stop her patient's AS (stop the progression, not cure it!), mostly with herbs. That said, I am not at all advocating ditching Western Medicine here, but definitely check out some Eastern options as well.

I have a friend with AS; I think she was diagnosed around your age. She's tough as nails and I'm constantly in awe of her. Hang in there! xx
