@harebell I am curious about this too! I drink coffee in the mornings/early afternoon out of routine but never feel like it actually "wakes me up" or anything
@Kalorama_Kat I want to go to there
@stonefruit What do you mean by this and why the conflation of "low-income" with "incarcerated?" I think most people would assume that incarcerated individuals have nothing but free time.
I clicked away halfway through the interview to buy for my Kindle. Can't wait to read it! Now to finish the interview :)
@or Elsa! Ooh ooh! You...don't buy dessert at TJs at random hours and you flush more than every other time?
@Regina Phalange OMG! :( Teen Angst? Nah! was one of my favorite books in high school. So sad.
To chime in following the bots: for me adulthood has been about being assertive and feeling empowered to set my own boundaries.
@large__marge Agree! And "real-person job" to mean professional, career job. Because non-professionals and hourly employees aren't real people.
@megeliza I don't think you can, or should, explain anything to her. She already knows the reality of the situation because she is living it. I think you can ask open questions to help her reflect on what she thinks/says, and maybe gently (straightforwardly, not judgmentally) point out any discrepancy between what she says and how she actually behaves. And then you just let it go. Which is hard, but the only thing you can do.
