I think you win. That's terrible.
Great interview, as always!
The Hairpin has gone through some changes in content and tone in the past bit and I love to see it head more in this direction.
Anyone interested in a Hairpin convention at the opening weekend of Dollywood next year? Just askin'. For a friend who would love to go but thinks the experienced would be enhanced by those similarly thrilled.
WHY IS NOT OUT ON BLU RAY YET??????? Ugh. I want it so bad on Blu Ray I can't cope any more.
Technically, the bustle is the frame or other material that pushes out the skirt. DETAILS! So tiring. Am I right ladies?
On The Cora Crawleys of the Gilded Age: "As fast as our honorable, hardworking men earn money their daughters toss it across the ocean"
I looked it up and tickets were £22! Do you think I get a discount with an American passport?
Men! They're so confusing!
What fascinates me as I spend a lot of time talking about men with what they want to read… I used to have this attitude of ‘Oh, a man who likes cars probably likes sports, probably likes gadgets, probably loves boobs, and beer and whatnot.’ But that’s not accurate. My boyfriend is really into beer and whiskey and barbequing but he’s not into sports. And I know men who are really into sports but not into cars. So, my cousin is obsessed with sports but he’s not one of these guys who spends hours at the gym. And yet I know men who spend hours at the gym but don’t really care that much about whiskey. And I know men who are really into boobs but don’t care about sports. And it seems crazy. You say, how can someone love boobs but not care at all about sports. And that’s what’s awesome about it. If you can make a publication that’s strong in all of these disparate areas and bring together all these interests no one else is doing, I think you have a winning idea there.
I wonder if my freckles would cause the pixelator to explode...
I was borderline crunchie. In fact, I still have a Rusted Root cassette tape at my parents house.
