On Telling Tegan and Sara Apart

Holy SHIT but is their new album just amazing. This just makes it better: now I know which one Was A Fool and which is Not Your Hero.

On A Week Alone In: Lithuania and Poland

I've been to that cemetery in Vilnius (my wife and I got married in Vilnius and our reception was at Trakai), did you go through Uzupis to get there? Happen across a tiny shack of a beer bar on the way called Snekutis?

Sorry, the Drynuary Bat Signal was on the fritz, but did I hear my name?

I think kombucha counts as "booze" in *some* instances: http://www.ttb.gov/faqs/kombucha-faqs.shtml

"TTB's initial testing of kombucha in the marketplace reveals that many of these products contain at least 0.5 percent alcohol by volume. These products are alcohol beverages and are consequently subject to regulation. Some kombucha contain less than 0.5 percent alcohol by volume and may continue to be marketed as non-alcoholic beverages."

So, yeah, no high-octane kombucha if you *know* it's 0.5 or higher (wink, wink!).

Invoking the O'Doul's Rule of 2011: If It's Below 0.5, Drynuary Is Still Alive.

But, that's just my rule. This is YOUR Drynuary, so you do you.
