By chickpeas akimbo on Did We Buy Any Cool Stuff This Weekend?

I needed some new pants, so I bought some new pants (same pants, three colors) online at 40% off. Does this count? I hate shopping, crowds, cold weather, holiday music, and forced cheer, so plan to stay inside until April. I may rouse myself sufficiently to come to the door to meet the pizza delivery man. We'll see.

Has anyone else found that they accidentally eat larger/more portions when trying to be health-conscious and go for the low-fat/low-sugar options? It is a consistent enough trend that I've just, thrown my hands up and continue to buy full-fat milk, cheese, etc, but then portion control hard with measurements. Because, sedentary grad student lifestyle, is what.

I think the message of that final photo is "if you are single, you won't have anyone around to tell you that you either need longer socks or your trousers are too short."

@stuffisthings Well, I do live near a college campus with a nuclear engineering program, so this could be the diet for me! Of course, I haven't taken any higher level math since high school, so if you notice a really large crater or the sudden absence of the state of texas, I'm sorry.

@Beaks Look, I'll be honest here, you ARE going to have to invest a pro-grade particle accelerator for this diet to work. Though to be fair it's a little cheaper than all the crap you need to get into smoothies or pour-over coffee, and you can use it to do research into the fundamental nature of the universe in between mealtimes.

@crocuta uh somebody obviously hasn't tried the all-proton diet. I don't know if atoms and molecules are bad for you per se but I just know that after a big bowl of protons, I feel really positive.
