@owlegg Totally had this happen to me in 8th grade. I also owned fleece bell-bottoms...
It's never okay to just abandon your pet in the wild, but snakes are seriously low maintenance pets (at least the common pet species). My brother has had tons of pet reptiles over the years and snakes are way less cost intensive than pets like cats or dogs. In the scheme of saving money, that's really what people chose to do?
@mittens blum Yeah, it's totally campy, but I felt it like it definitely improved after the first season. Also, Richard gets more time/a little better storyline as it progresses.
@Growltiger I think this might be it! I'll have to read it, but I have a good feeling about it. Thank you so much!
@BoatGirl I'm pretty sure I've read this, but I have no idea of author/title. It might be a Peter S. Beagle or Alexander Lloyd book, I'm not sure. Sorry for not being more helpful.
@Erin Sturm@twitter Yes! Thank you so much!
@Emmanuelle Cunt Yeah, it's not anything by Diana. I'm glad someone else might have heard of it! I think it was written by a guy and seemed old when I read it in the 90s, so I think it was published maybe in the 70s.
@szarah No, it isn't one of those, but I did love all the Anastasia Krupnik books!
@Steph Eva by Peter Dickinson
@Kallie Aah! This is the Peanut Butter Solution! I can't believe someone else has watched it. It was super fucked up/scary when I watched it as a kid. It was a Canadian movie and had a Celine Dion song for some reason.
