@PomoFrannyGlass I am just posting in solidarity. You both have articulated beautifully (tragically? hopefully?) where I am right now. Hugs for holding out for the click.

I just came here to say that this week I have felt like this:

Nothing is really wrong. I just wish that someone would look at me like this:

@splendorofmorgan Echo: "Seriously, though, has a couples therapist ever saved your relationship? Me wants to know, too!

On "And Peggy Paula let him, she let him, because if no one is there to touch you are you even really there?"

Holy shit. I immediately went to read the other two and HOLY SHIT. Wow.

@RNL Ugh, that is a rough place to be. I'm sorry you're going through it. My fallback has always been to give it time. This quote from the tao te ching has also always helped me, in myriad situations:
"Do you have the patience to wait until your mud settles and the water is clear?"

In the meantime, hugs from an internet stranger!

@RNL This warms my heart, you have no idea! It *should* be lovable & endearing, shouldn't it.

@somuchsugar How do you do it? How do you know? I literally had this conversation with friends tonight: How do we know if the discontent we feel after 3-5 years in a non-married relationship is run-of-the-mill relationship, "how it will always be" feelings, or if it is, NO, STOP, You still have time to change it and find something better!! HOW DO YOU KNOW! (Or is the question answer enough?)

The FOT is over, and I haven't posted in a while. BUT. I must know: Are there attractive, kind, good, men that will love a girl who like to snack at night, in bed, post-cocktails? (Says the Puppy in a Cup with a large bag of trader joes roasted cashews by her bed...) IS THERE ANYONE?? Do such men exist??

@bnna OK. I like this question a lot.
* I love that I am not the only Monday FOT-er.
* Go you for adding Spanish to your repertoire!
* I speak spanish fluently (after suffering through many long years of barely getting by), and I too decided it would be a good idea to read 100 anos de soledad in the original spanish. But boy, was I wrong! It was TOUGH! And it was exhausting. And eventually, I got bored having to look up so many words, that I just started skipping them and then I missed lots of the subtle humor and details in the story. Granted, your approach to go little by little would probably be good. And you've read the story a few times, so that would definitely help. I guess, go for it, and see how it goes!

You might also get lucky and find one of those books that has the english and spanish side by side. In college I found a copy of some baroque spanish story with the translation on the left and the original on the right. It was awesome.

Anyway, good luck! Disfrutalo!

@lora.bee Oh no! Work mistakes are the worst! But they happen to the best of us. Ask long as your coworker knows you are sorry and you're feeling terrible about it though, you'll be fine and so will the project. Hopefully your day is almost over and you can go home and pour yourself a glass of something delicious!
