"A certain kind of person reacts to sadness by reaching for a book.”
I ... never realized this about myself until now.
And that's why I love Hairpin articles, because they are beautiful and they can tell you something you didnt know about yourself.
Yay for Edith being here!
And yay for cat gifs!
I would so grill that guys beard.
This post is amazing.
I had more feelings on this than I realized.
I will always appreciate it for being one of the first shows to display unmarried women over 30 as something quite normal and fine and whilst it was extremely exaggerated, there was a always a level of relatability which was one of its strongest draws...
... but then it got really really successful and that all stopped. Later seasons had Samantha running around for a $10,000 handbag and it felt that the show was more about celebrating an upper class consumer lifestyle than about women facing life in their 30s.
That was probably the start of the decline and then the last film just turned it in to a gross characature. Dammit.
HOW CAN THESE BE SO PERFECT?!
(Clarification: I am shouting with happiness)
@Rock and Roll Ken Doll
Oh no! I do this. I think no one will think about me and then sometimes I don't reach out to them as I don't want to bother them in to thinking about me and then they think I'm cold which is useless.
I think I'm going to start spamming my friends. But yeah my reaction to finding out I've been talked about is mostly surprise.
On The AARP Pie
Oh. God. This. Sigh.
But then these 'young men' that I say are too young for me aren't all that young themselves.
