I'm curious- you say you budgeted $5000 for three months, but ended up staying for seven. How much money did this end up setting you back total?
My German (EX) boyfriend and I while I was studying abroad in his country:
Me: Why won't you ever speak English with me?
Him: Because it's a stupid language. Your whole culture is just really dumb and I hate it. I'd like you a lot better if you weren't American."
1. Quit smoking (!!!!)
2. Went to Dubrovnik while Game of Thrones was filming and saw the sets, crew members and actors all over town
3. Started regular yoga practice
4. Online dating, and accepting the (unwanted) end of a relationship with grace and dignity intact
5. Met emergency savings goal
It was a good year.
@chickpeas akimbo Yeah, I didn't find Robin unlikeable in the least! She is amazing. I also really loved her simple comfy way of dressing and her no-makeup face. I would like to see more female characters like her on tv for sure.
OMG, her dance moves in this video!!! They are so awkward. So so awkward. I feel like she did this on purpose to make her fans feel better about their own awkward dancing. I love it!
This is a giant awkward mistake.
@lasso tabasco This sounds like a really good strategy. I'll test this out but starting a conversation with "BEYONCE!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhh!"
Soooo I got a tinder and was matched with a few guys, but now I don't know what to do and I am scared. Unlike with OKC, we have ZERO background information about each other, so every conversation just starts out with "hey, what's up?" and I just CANNOT with that type of conversation. What to do?
What. No, just... no. WHAT WILL THEY COME UP WITH NEXT? I would probably do this for the story though. It sounds terrifying and awkward.
On Maria Bello: "My feelings about attachment and partnership have always been that they are fluid and evolving"
YES!!! I've always thought it was so weird that partnerships are really only considered "real" or valuable if they are sexual/romantic, or at least began that way. I live together with my best friend, and my relationship with her is much closer and important to me and my life than all of my previous and current romantic partners combined. But still, I feel like many people regard a close bestfriendship/platonic domestic partnership as a placeholder until the "real thing" comes along. Bullshit, I say!
