@Rose Camelia Houston seems really cool! I am googling the hell out of Houston neighborhoods right now.
@celeec4@twitter Dallas was a childhood home of mine I didn't love it. Plus, I'm not really scared of humidity as long as I can leave these dreadful Midwestern winters far behind me :)
@Rose Camelia Wow. Well, I currently am still in my first job post-college and it's just a generic office-type job and I'm not worth very much money, and I haven't really figured out What I Want to Do yet. But then, I don't want to live anywhere super expensive. I've thought about Denver or Colorado Springs or Nashville or New Orleans. I already feel like the only liberal in the neighborhood, so that situation can only improve.
@yeah-elle You can do it! I believe!
I've been thinking hard about moving away from the small Midwestern city I've been living in since college. What are things to consider when deciding to move to a new city? I keep going back and forth about whether I even want to go and I don't know where I would go if I did. DECISIONS ARE HARD LIFE IS HARD.
@nina! Actually I used to watch Sherlock in Germany a few summers ago when I was living there. I fear the bad, bad German voice-overs may have ruined the show for me :(
@cat o'clock Yes, I second this call for help! I recently started running because I quit smoking and I CAN. But I don't know what to do exactly.
@daisicles I am just finishing "Birds Without Wings" by Louis de Bernières. It's beautiful and I couldn't recommend it highly enough, especially if you are interested in history, nationalism, or the impact of war on individuals and communities.
At the suggestion of a glorious 'Pinner, I have been watching and loving the hell out of Call the Midwife, a super heartwarming BBC miniseries. But, I am nearly done watching it! What else should be on my to-watch on Netflix list? Breaking Bad? Or something else?
I rediscovered my book of hideous middle school-era poetry and OMFG I want to burn it but burning it would mean further acknowledging its existence. D:
@nina! starting the first episode now! Thanks!
