@I'm Right on Top of that, Rose So monotonous! My sister and I call him Drone because of it.
@secret_targaryen If you like Shakespeare you might want to check out Bard on the Beach! I think it can get a bit pricey to go in the evening, but afternoon shows aren't too bad.
My parents wouldn't let me watch Titanic when it came out. As a current Leo fan I can only imagine what my journals would have looked like if they had.
@shart_attack I do this! I get especially frustrated when my boyfriend (who hasn't read the books) asks me what's going on and I have no answer...because it's totally made up and not in the books!
@Fodforever I hope we're not steering you in the wrong direction! I resisted it at first (I thought it would be too creepy for me to properly enjoy all the drama), but it turned out fine.
Ps, I hope you feel better soon!
@Fodforever Pretty Little Liars came to my mind too. I recently got sucked into that and have no regrets! Although I'm not totally sure how skipping parts would work out...you might miss something important/exciting!
@Elsajeni I could have written almost this same comment! Except in my case my dad also contributed to aggressively encouraging me and my sister to read (and watch) it. The damage has never been undone -- even today we still tend to roll our eyes when Jane Austen comes up, and while we made it through Pride and Prejudice, neither of us did much more than tolerate it.
(Also, my middle name is Elizabeth and I now wonder if they secretly named me that for the same reason you have that name. Ahh!)
@Decca I'm excited for you! I worked at two different movie theatres and it was great!
...also I am unsurprised about your your messiness observations.
@frigwiggin I am nearly finished Middlesex and think I'm going to read Cloud Atlas next!
@royaljunk I just finished Anna Karenina (and went to see the movie yesterday)! I was also not a big Levin fan, although I feel a bit bad about it because like @Ellie says, he's very human. I think it's because I went into the book thinking it would be all about Anna and Vronsky and felt like the Levin/farm parts were intruding.
