Superstitious Bloodrocuted, with his social anxiety and overtaxed lint roller.
@MmeLibrarian A very good book about a woman's friendships with other women in her life, (related to her relationship with her mother), is called She Matters by Susanna Sonnenberg. A lot of interesting dynamics and almost no men!
@adriana If you can stop between Kyoto and Tokyo, there is the Aokigahara forest. (I grew up nearby.) It is old growth and very peaceful. So peaceful that people go to die there, but even if you are not dying, it is still pleasant.
@iceberg Oh, maybe that's not true? I am not very smart with English and... the word for knowing the origins of words.
One of several "culture revealed in colloquialisms" moments from learning white American English is "bro" for coolness and familial bonds, "sissy" for demeaning young children.
(It seems like The Patriarchy is "divide and conquer" when it comes to women, so their sibling word is used as an insult, not a unification term.)
@fondue with cheddar Oh, yes. I thought you could disorient the spider long enough to pick it up. If you never want to touch a spider, that is a bad plan.
@fondue with cheddar It would be a good way to rescue spiders from the house.
@RubeksCube It's not hard to find a lot of full-length mirrors if you want to do the whole room in self-loathing.
You get precision, correctness, "ew, look at those scars on my back" and "ew, never not wearing a shirt again".
@fondue with cheddar My workout room is mirrored all over, for precision, I would actually die of shame.
PS What do cheese roosters know about human exercise anyway
@fondue with cheddar Just in case working out while dressed doesn't make you self-conscious enough.
