@Tragically Ludicrous I'm definitely the latter. Aspartame is terrible. I am good with Splenda and Nectresse, but Truvia or Stevia in the raw is awful. I will do without before I force myself to drink that stuff.
@ohmy I will have to look into LaCroix. I've really tried to cut out soda, drinking it as a treat every now and then. I have never liked diet soda. My mom has switched to Diet Rite, which is no caffeine, no sugar, no calories, but it really tastes like diet coke to me. She says it tastes like regular coke.
@theotherginger My town has a small college and it really surprises me how little recreation there is. I was thinking of trying the online dating to meet people, but with such a small town, I'm not sure I'll meet anyone, really.
@Lily Rowan, @Ellie Thanks to you both. I figured I'm going to get very few matches considering where I live. The closest 'big town' (as in, restaurants that aren't McDonald's or Sonic) is 45 minutes away, which isn't so bad, but it's not exactly a quick jaunt to meet for dinner and then also drive back.
@phipsi Chai Some kind of fancy tea bags, like from an ethnic grocery store.
@Rookie (not the magazine) (not that there's anything wrong with that) I wonder if Cracker Barrel sells that. They sell a lot of 'old-school' products in original packaging.
@Lily Rowan I figured there would be. I was more curious about the success of one site over another. Like I have one friend who's done online dating (she lives in another city), always on eharmony, and she never had any luck. She switched to match.com, and she got a few matches. Since the extent of my knowledge is based on her experience, I was curious if one site seemed to work better than others, etc.
I'm considering online dating. I live in a very small town that has very little to do recreation-wise. The movie theater is open weekends only and plays mostly family movies. There are 2 bars, both of which are only open Friday and Saturday, and one only if they have a band booked to play. Any suggestions on which site to try?
@I'm Right on Top of that, Rose My mom has no boundaries (even now, if I'm visiting them or they're visiting me, if I'm in the shower, she comes right in, opens the curtain). So I was also terrified that I'd get busted mid-shave and have to walk around with one shaved leg and one hairy leg.
@Alli525 Looking back, I wish I had just shaved and said to hell with the consequences. But at the time I was THAT kid-the one who would do anything to NOT get in trouble. I have no idea what my punishment would have been, but my mom made it clear anytime I would ask that if I did it without permission, I was 'in for big trouble.'
