This confirms that my Zayn crush is the best crush. Own it. Bone it.
Crying about it.
I thought seriously about printing a blank calendar page for November just so I can put all her important dates on it. I mean I haven't decided not to do that yet, honestly, I just keep getting sidetracked. I'm pretty stoked for November though, if she's on the money pretty much at all.
So cool--I remember hearing about this shortly before Zoe left, and it's awesome to see the end result.
These make me wanna cry, in maybe a good way but maybe a bad way too.
@allofthewine Oh man, Blue meant so much to me. It was the first time I can recall that I bought an album just for one song (Never Let You Go).
I can still remember laying on my belly on my fake denim comforter, listening to that album for the first time. I read the lyrics for Wounded, and thought "Wow this song," and then heard the song and was like "Wowwwww this sonngggg." Who knows why that song meant so much to sheltered 15-year-old me.
@RK Fire "That finding, though, inevitably raises the question of whether the bar could drop even lower. Could, for instance, a mere two minutes of strenuous training effectively improve health and fitness?
Dr. Tjonna, the killjoy, doubts it."
@Nutmeg That is my exact ghost logic.
@formergr YES! I have a not-exactly-supernatural-but-still-creepy story that I have told on the internet several times but I will tell it anyway because I love it. In fact I'm just gonna copy-paste it from my old Livejournal account (dated Nov. 2, 2006):
"My grandmother got the creepiest phone call ever yesterday, someone left her a message saying, "Nancy. Nancy, I'm coming to get you." and then they whisper "Naaancyyyy." and then say her address. UM I HAD TEARS IN MY EYES. and I tried not to show her because I don't want her to be scared, but oh my gosh. I can't imagine staying alone after that. And I left a few minutes before ten, and I could just picture someone standing at the door waiting for me to come out with this terrible grin. And then in the car on the way home I was so freaked out, checking for someone in the back of my car, that I saw myself in the review mirror and literally screamed "OH MY GOD" before realizing that I, in fact, was supposed to be in my car. LOL. but really I was scared-er than I can ever remember being."
For both junior and senior prom, I heard this one guy (a friend since kindergarten) was going to ask me, so I asked someone else before he got the chance. Junior year he got me flowers with a card that asked me to go with him; senior year I made sure he knew I was taking someone else before he could ask.
I had a great time both years, with hilarious, sweet boys; he ended up with dates both years, one of whom he dated for a while after prom.
We actually ended up dating during college, when I finally realized how much I liked him once I didn't get to see him all the time. We tried to break up amicably since we had such a long history, but there was a lot of animosity that makes me glad I didn't spend my prom nights with him.
