On A Break-Up Song for Non-Break-Ups

Yes! This. Gah, I hate this.

(I did enjoy singing that song in my head though!)

On The Evolution of Ape-Face Johnson

CAROLITA I DIE FOR THOSE LIPS!!! You were always a beauty - kids and fashion people are super-mega-dumb.

Also - never let them take your 'ita' away from you! 'Carol' is fine, but 'Carolita'? Soars at the end like a bird and brings everyone a smile.

Keep working it lady. Liked this a lot.

On The SCAR Project: "Breast Cancer Is Not a Pink Ribbon"

Their bravery moves me. This is making something positive out of something terrible; the only thing to do to move on.

I'm (somewhat... not at all) prepared for my boobs to be temporary.

On Help Us, Clean But Not Super Unreasonable People!

Delicates bags. Wash after every wear. Do laundry every 2/3 days. 4 T-shirt bras and about 8 brightly-coloured lace bras. Thanks M&S. Things are good.

On Amy Winehouse, "(There Is) No Greater Love"

@Clare This is my favourite too. She looks just the wrong side of healthy in the video - the decline is starting, but you can still see the well person she was to begin with.

I popped down to her flat today in my lunch break - I work in Camden, near her favourite boozer, and a bus stop away from her place. I used to be quite the Camden party girl too, I suppose, but not on her level.

There are a lot of people milling about in front of her building, looking at the tributes, or just sitting and gently weeping, but it was surprisingly calm and quiet. The atmosphere reminded me of visiting a church in a Catholic country. It was even more eerie to walk back out to the main road and be hit by the sounds of children in the school playground across the road.

Poor Amy. It creeps me out to see her dates, 1983-2011, on the obits - no one born in the same year as me should have died yet, not like this.

On Ladies Pamper Themselves In Disconcerting Ways

This post feels like Edith and Bonnie got together and had a lovely surreal word-baby. Which is to say, I liked this.
