On Six Guaranteed Low-Effort Toddler Games

@SarahDances Luckily toddlers normally wear diapers, so who cares if they pee a little!

On Beauty Q&A: Do You Smell What I Smell?

@Canal There are a million books on the "easy" way to quit. And a million products you can buy. There is no easy way to quit, and telling someone they stink or making them feel guilty about smoking is not helping them. Even if you say it with "love." When that happened to me it brought down my self esteem and made my social anxiety even worse. You know what I used to cope with those? Smoking. I was finally able to quit when I was with friends and a S.O. that never commented on any cig smell or gagged when I walked by, but loved me unconditionally. That is what gave me the confidence to believe that I could, and can, quit.

Also- I think a lot of fancy perfumes stink, and people BATHE in them. Am I allowed to tell them that they stink?

On Shared Spaces, Lie-Measurement, and the Manageable Hassle

@I'm Right on Top of that, Rose I can't remember if it was Dan Savage or one of my lady friends who is in a very successful marriage who told me this when I cheated and was feelign AWFUL and couldn't figure out if I should tell. "If you don't plan on doing it again, and he has no way to find out, then the only reason you are telling him is to make yourself feel better. That would be a very selfish thing to do."
So I didn't tell, and we broke up 5 months ago for different reasons. And I still haven't told, because, what is the point?

On I Dream of Britney

"If it’s cold enough for Uggs, it is way too hot for short jorts. Does Jamie Lynn have circulation problems? Are her feet extra stanky? Discuss."
Do you mean "If it's cold enough for Uggs, it is way too (cold) for short jorts?"
Am I just being dense?

On The Proper Way to Celebrate Someone Else's Holiday

@City_Dater I've done one turkey- and I put rosemary under the skin with butter, and quartered apples and onions in the cavity. It was delish!

On The Proper Way to Celebrate Someone Else's Holiday

Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE and I- like many others- am SO SICK of X-mas creeping into November. BACK OFF. Also- there are those that say we shouldn't complain because Christmas is about CHRIST and He should have all the time he needs. Bah Humbug. This humble pagan/agnostic/atheist says back off and let me have my Turkey Day in peace.

On Save the Date*

@log lady Amen! @roberts rising needs to realize that it was supposed to be a funny post, and yes, there are people going through worse, BUT having an event that she has likely planned for over a year get ruined is STILL a valid reason to have a little cry.
