I'll tell you who did it. It's that Banksy prick. There's a hidden meaning.

On The Eyebrow Wars

@thebestjasmine, okay, I did a quick google search on this and the results are questionable because I don't know how many of these are nonsense spam websites or SEO blogs that publish anything to get hits or unreliable plastic surgeons, but apparently light brown and hazel eyes are the ones most at risk for a change in color (still only with the drug applied directly to the iris, though) so consider that if your (/your mom's) eye color means a lot to you. I really, really love the stuff, though, and I'd probably take the chance anyway because I'm pretty sure next to none of it gets in my eyes when I apply. Edit also for maximum sketchitude you can get generic bimatoprost from alldaychemist (which a ton of online ~beauty websites~ like makeupalley confirm is legit and which is where I get it) for much cheaper, but I've been told I'm a moron for not getting a mega expensive prescription in the US instead. Maybe read up on it before deciding?

On The Eyebrow Wars

@thebestjasmine, no, but I guess there's still plenty of time for that since I don't plan on stopping. I will note that it is a listed side effect because it's observed in the patients who use it as a glaucoma treatment and they administer it as eye drops which directly make contact with the iris, but I imagine that use on the lash line over long periods of time + watery eyes could cause a very gradual darkening (I don't let this stop me because I hate light blue eyes and would welcome anything else, haha)

On The Eyebrow Wars

@myrna.minkoff, I use latisse on my brows (and lashes) every other night and over the last year, they've gotten sooo much fuller in some of the areas I overtweezed *-* Hairs that I plucked ONCE in high school which never came back after 5 yeeeaars has grown back in (they stop at the bridge of my nose instead of the corner of my eyes now and I love it). They aren't at the Shields/Connelly/Brezhnev levels I aspire to yet but with powder, they look awesome.

On I Think I Figured Out How She Does It

@saythatscool um congratulations, you can count. That doesn't make you any funnier. People are free to disagree with my opinion. The existence and continued popularity of Hot Topic proves that there are plenty of people with a sense of humor similar to yours and I'm fine with that. "Disappointed" was the word I used.

@Hot mayonnaise OH, it's a long-time running joke (meaning all the jokes have been made before, for one thing). Suddenly, the context makes the intention clear. It must be a complete coincidence that she pretty neatly matches the description of the common insult "horse-faced."

On I Think I Figured Out How She Does It

@marytoddlincoln, mm, not particularly offended here per se, but equally disappointed because if I wanted to read unfunny men making unfunny puns that are lame to the point of immense secondhand embarrassment then I would just open any reddit comment section ever. Why waste that sort of comedic genius on thehairpin when there are teenaged boys who would give it the sort of adulation it deserves everywhere else on the internet

On Insecurity and Awkward Encounters (Cats, Colds, Etc.)

@KatieWK, aaaaa RE: INTERNET WRITING SINS, my least favorite are the people who, um, uptalk? On the internet? Even though it would actually require them to exert less effort to, like, NOT carefully transcript all of their most annoying superfluous verbal tics in their writing?

@wharrgarbl, I like this post because it begins "(not so) wise owl vaginas are not going to kill everyone"
