By parallel-lines on “They should let them marry.”

@iceberg The bible says it's an abomination but it's, like, a socially acceptable one and I know gay people and they're totally nice!

Somehow she forgets that she also knows people of color, poor people, people who have had abortions, people who voted for president Obama, people of non Christian faiths...and yet she has no problems posting nasty, insulting things towards them every day for daring not to line up and act according to the tenets of her faith and personal beliefs.

I sure do think much less of my immediate family members after friending them on facebook!

@Little Miss Bossy your icon and user name!

And hold me back from cheap sneakers! (okay, I don't care about them, but... hee.)

I once had a student offer to "give me a deal" on sneakers (he worked at Sports Experts).

@martinipie Expensive things! I treat myself to a few nice things, then I'm all "man, if expensive shampoo is this much better, imagine how much better expensive foundation would be?" and then suddenly I'm broke.

By Pyxis on The Dropped-Ball Generation

@supernintendochalmers "The world is passing through troublous times. The young people of today think of nothing but themselves. They have no reverence for parents or old age. They are impatient of all restraint. They talk as if they knew everything, and what passes for wisdom with us is foolishness with them. As for the girls, they are forward, immodest and unladylike in speech, behavior and dress."
-Peter the Hermit 1274

I'm pretty sure all older generations thought the younger generation was going fuck it all up. Somehow the world is still here.

The headline is SO MISLEADING. Off the top of my head, "Millenials Face Higher Economic Scarcity." "Millenials Shift Focus and Spending". "Millenials Wary of Economic Risk." "The American Dream: Desired by Millenials, Unaffordable For Them Too."
