On Ask Baba Yaga: My Best Friend Just Got Engaged and All I Can Do Is Weep

This is honestly the first "Ask Baba Yaga" that ever meant anything to me, and it means a lot. The bit quoted by Jocasta Carr up above.

On The Benedict Cumberbatch Name Generator

Dave Cole did this a long time ago on the Extra Hot Great podcast (that mini-episode is no longer online), and it had me giggling for days. Now that they are podcasting again at Previously TV I hope they publish that list again. It was wonderful.

On Let's Revisit All of Now That's What I Call Music! Vol. 1

JIA... your description of middle-school dances on Track 6 is chillingly accurate. AHHH so much useless anxiety!
Also, that Shorty song was on a baffling (for many reasons) mix CD that a boyfriend made for me, maybe because I was short?

This was fun, I hope you do Now! Volume 2. (that's the one that came out once I had paper route money to spend.)

On The Cheap Wine Report

Ugh, Sideways was a truly terrible movie. Rotten tomatoes lied to me.
(in Canada, $10 is about as cheap as it gets, so I'm in the $15 range. I'm liking most Malbecs lately but I am not actually picky at all.)

On A Guide to Eating Very Particular Feelings, Part II

Jess Zimmerman, where can we read more of your writing? This and the previous installment were so evocative, beautiful, heartbreaking.
