On Thank You So Much For Being With Me Tonight to Celebrate My Twenty-Five-And-Twelve-Month Birthday
@skyslang Phew, thank jeezy! My 25-and-48-months birthday is still a ways off, but it's good to know that just doing the work and being a good person will get me somewhere.
@all This was THE BEST! Thank you all for sharing. <3'd it!!!
@Passion Fruit Whoops, I wrote my reply before I saw these other ones. The vegetarians have spoken! And they do not hate portabellos.
@all Wow, this is amazing! How did you find these people? I have a much easier time making friends with girls than I do with guys, and I would like to have some cool guy friends.
@honey cowl I think this issue was part of why I broke up with my ex-boyfriend. There were some things that he loved that just drove me crazy with their sexism. So, to answer your question, I don't know.
@Smallison I'm not a vegetarian, but a lot of my best friends are (this sounds like a setup for a racist joke). I think they usually roll their eyes at portabello mushrooms, since it seems to dominate vegetarian options, so I guess maybe not portabello mushrooms...
Can you guys share stories with me about awesome men in your life? Boyfriends, friends, fathers, brothers, co-workers? Men who are intersectional feminists and are not racist or homophobic or classist, etc? Men who are emotional, sane, fair, giving, communicative, and so on and so forth? I need hope. STORIES OF HOPE, plz.
@Laughable Walrus Yaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy! That's wonderful!
@Lumpy Space Princess Wow, what a timely question, and sorry, I have no idea. I wish I knew, too!
@Lurkasaurus YES, oh my God, yes, thank you for saying this. I was feeling the exact same way and getting disgusted with myself. But it's my true reaction, and seeing it in light of a larger patriarchal shit paradigm, as @yeah-elle and everyone pointed out, made me understand it better. And I wouldn't have if you hadn't voiced your feelings, so thank you.
