Just livin' large and in charge as the cuddliest creature of the sea.
@Smallison I'm not a vegetarian, but a lot of my best friends are (this sounds like a setup for a racist joke). I think they usually roll their eyes at portabello mushrooms, since it seems to dominate vegetarian options, so I guess maybe not portabello mushrooms...
Can you guys share stories with me about awesome men in your life? Boyfriends, friends, fathers, brothers, co-workers? Men who are intersectional feminists and are not racist or homophobic or classist, etc? Men who are emotional, sane, fair, giving, communicative, and so on and so forth? I need hope. STORIES OF HOPE, plz.
@Laughable Walrus Yaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy! That's wonderful!
@Lumpy Space Princess Wow, what a timely question, and sorry, I have no idea. I wish I knew, too!
@Lurkasaurus YES, oh my God, yes, thank you for saying this. I was feeling the exact same way and getting disgusted with myself. But it's my true reaction, and seeing it in light of a larger patriarchal shit paradigm, as @yeah-elle and everyone pointed out, made me understand it better. And I wouldn't have if you hadn't voiced your feelings, so thank you.
@crane your neck Yes! Yay for your return!
@lasso tabasco Me too!
@fuck fuck fuck I think that sounds like a perfect cutoff! 90/10 rule for relationshapes.
Yep, I'd advocate for reducing contact, too. I'm sorry your feelings are (understandably) hurt. It's better to look for something less complicated and/or give him space to make things less complicated of his own volition.
Interesting, I haven't noticed the 20-something slant, probably because I am still in my 20's, but I believe you. What articles do you miss? Or what articles do you think spoke to a wider age range?
OH! Another contributor I miss A BUNCH is Carolita. Homegirl, where are you? Where are your drawings and stories? I will haunt every FOT until your return!
