On Best D.C. Metro Stations to Name a Baby After

As someone who is a) in northern VA and b) extremely pregnant, this is relevant to my interests. I was going to take the metro this weekend but maybe I'll just hang around the Vienna station, eating pineapple and waiting...

On Look, We're Gonna Talk About the Gatsby Trailer Now

@okaycrochet *Chaucer high-five*

@TheRisottoRacket I had that exact reaction! It was like "Pretty, pretty, WOW pretty, oh derp there's Spiderman." I have to get over this before the movie comes out.

On Look, We're Gonna Talk About the Gatsby Trailer Now

@mackymoo No, I am too! It looks so lush and pretty.

On The Best Time I Took My Baby to the Emergency Room

@MmeLibrarian I've stopped counting how many times my mom's told me about the time I shoved a dowel up her nose. (Apparently I had a balloon on a stick instead of a string...?)

On My Fave Two

@frigwiggin All your adorable stories about your moms are making me weepy and hopeful that I can be the kind of mom your moms are instead of the kind of mom my mom is. It's so heartening to hear that there are people out there with sweet, goofy mom-relationships. Tell me more about your moms!

On Life and Taxes

I owe $3000 this year. Spent much of the past month going back and forth with the tax people at work to find out if this could possibly be true, and apparently it is. I'm trying to tell myself that this means the government gave me an interest-free loan. It's not helping that much.

On Interview With an Element: Alumin(i)um

@@serenityfound I forgot what a great song that is! Kind of slanders poor Aluminum, but the harmonies, yum.
