@LaLoba For sure. For a little while as a teenager I loved Friday, although I couldn't really get into his other stuff. Now...Friday is not so appealing.
@Pocket Witch Hella sexist indeed.
Anyone have opinions about some of the newer books? Inside Out and Back Again, excellent!
@Sarah Pin@twitter This is amazing, thanks for linking to it!
@Dachelle You're a little older than me, but your post describes my situation perfectly! I hear you re: being pretty okay with it, but still feeling abnormal.
@aubrey! I think the Bordertown books are mostly out of print. But an anthology of new stories, Welcome to Bordertown, came out recently and it was pretty great.
@phlox The Magnetic Fields' album Charm of the Highway Strip is good travelling music.
Tanith Lee is kind of hit or miss, but I'll always love her "Red As Blood."
I read a short story once called "Murder, Mystery" (I think?) where there's a body in a field off a highway. I would love to read it again - does anyone know what I'm talking about?
@Audley Sky Coyote's definitely my favorite. Because Joseph.
@rosaline Bloody Jack is so good! But Tanith Lee's Piratica is pretty great too...
