BEST POST EVER. You've made me so happy for saying that Taystee and Poussey live a long and happy life together. They are wonderful and they deserve happiness. Ugh, who cares about Piper!

@Girl Named Jack Did you tell them that he murders puppies and manipulates the mortgage market, or did you tell them that he never picks up his socks and was mean to you that one time? Also, how much politeness do your parents exercise? If they are big on manners, and the things you told them are not too horrible, they will treat him as usual and can rebuild their affection for him. (Of course, you must say something like "mom & dad, I know i told you all those things, but there are also all these good things, and we are trying to make it work, so please be nice to whatsisface.)
If your parents are more blunt, and / or he actually is a puppy murderer, you will have a rougher time of it (if he is actually a puppy murderer, I recommend against reconciliation). But, even if they are cold or hostile for a while, if they've got any sense at all, and you guys get back together, and he isn't murdering your puppy, then it will be okay! It could take a bit, but it will be ok.

(A friend of mine got dumped a couple weeks ago, and we went to lunch so he could tell me about it, and now I know soooo much more about their sex life than I ever thought I might / wanted to! And of course they got back together the very next day. I spent three hours last weekend at a baby shower, talking to her, and trying not to give advice about their bedroom problems. (I succeeded. Barely. It will get easier.))

@pajamaralls Exactly! I just enjoy seeing what the brackets evoke in people. And to @olivebee's point, the individual face-offs are always the thing that gets you. Knocking out "Shake Ya Ass" in round one is an UTTER TRAVESTY and yet Jack White writes the anthem of my soul, so I've no choice but to kiss SYA tenderly and then send it into hell with my very own hand.

every single person who votes for "Cry Me a River" over "Toxic" is dead to me.

This woman is fantastic in every way. I'm so glad she was there, and I can't imagine the mental grace and fortitude it took to do what she did. Puts down the notion that the only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

My goodness, that last bit. Would that we could all show such compassion and concern for each other.

I hope I remember this for a long time, especially if the next time I'm in a situation where I'm dealing with someone who is clearly in a lot of pain but is not expressing it in a neat and tidy way. Thank you Antoinette.
