@Kristen So I know what LARP is, but not Nordic LARP, and I was picturing either, like, epic battles going on while everyone's Nordic skiing down a mountain, or everybody dyeing their hair blond and sitting around in sweaters eating meatballs and dried cod.

@PomoFrannyGlass Yeah, most of these look like places you might advise a single dude to go to to meet ladies, because he would be in the minority.

I cant imagine what falling in love in a supermarket would look like. You both reach for the last bag of kale? You get in to a trolley drag race? You accidentally knock a jar of pesto on his foot?
Anyway with all the fluorescent lighting everyone would look hideous.

@Kristen If you can't connect with people at geeky events, how can you connect people?!

@KatnotCat Depending on how thick and black the glass frames are, I think "Hipster-ifying" things is the new sexy-ifying and zombie-ifying costumes.

Can you just "nerd" or "smartify" any other costume the same way people "sexy" any other costume? Nerdy cat, nerdy butterfly, nerdy zombie, etc.

I don't think you're a nerd, I wear glasses too! But it could work.

I can't believe how hard I related to all of this. All of it. The detachment.

"Maybe I went home and cried. I wish I could remember. Let’s pretend I went home and cried. It’s probably true."

I didn't - I went home and ate. I have so few memories of people being cruel (thank god). The vast majority of the cruelty came from inside my own head.

I feel like I'm only just recently meeting my body. Like my body is a person who has been in my extended social circle for a really long time, and who I didn't like and didn't trust. Only recently have I realize that all of that was in my head, a result of my own feelings about myself, and this person is actually really cool and kind and interesting.

My poor body! To be hated for no reason for so long, abused and hurt and not taken care of. My poor self.

"Darling, I couldn't help but notice that while you did fold the laundry this week - thank you, by the way, I'm very grateful - you folded it into a bas-relief of me drowning in what appears to be a sea of knives. Is there something you want to talk to me about?"

"No."

"You're sure? Everything's fine?"

"Yep."

"There is no meaning behind this screaming mask of terror clearly meant to represent me in the form of hand-woven cashmere sweaters?"

"That is the natural form the laundry took."
